Crafts to do with your charges for Mother’s Day

Mommy Survival Kit
Picked up a small wooden box from the $1 Store.
Have the kids paint them
To put inside:
A toothpick – To help you pick out the good in all situations
A marble – To replace the ones you’ve lost
Rope – In case you get to the end of yours
A penny – For your thoughts because they are important
A teabag – To remind you to relax
A heart – To remind you that mine belongs to you (construction paper heart)
A kiss – for all the ones you’ve given me (a Hershey kiss…)
My hand – To hold whenever you want (cut out of their hand)

Flower Pots
Purchase a flower pot and have the kids paint them.
Plant some seeds in the pot, a cheerful potted plant or gardening tools.
You can make a cute card that says “Thanks for helping me grow”

Custom Stepping Stone
Purchase a kit and have the kids decorate the stones with hand prints, mosaics or pictures. Make sure and put the date as this is a great idea to do every year!
