First Class Care, Inc. attended the 2010 APNA (Association of Premier Nanny Agencies) Conference in Arizona October 14-16 to visit with colleagues and learn more about running a great agency. We attend the conference every year and always bring home new tips and tools to improve business.
Every year APNA has a contest for Agency of the Year. In the past agencies had to submit essays on why they thought they were the best and a panel of judges would pick a winner. This year they decided to make the contest a bit more interesting. To submit your agency you were to create a VIDEO about what makes you different and why you are the best.
First Class Care decided to enter the contest and made a video about why we are different and how we used new methods in a down economy to increase business and services.
When we arrived at conference and found out who the competition was, we knew it was going to be tough to win. The other agencies were all seasoned agencies – most with 15+ years in the business. The competition included: Westside Nannies, Moms Best Friend, Stanford Park Nannies, Annie’s Nannies and Nannies and Housekeepers USA. Every agency had a very different kind of video that was viewed by the entire conference and then would be voted on by all the attendees.
After all the votes were calculated they announced First Class Care, Inc. as the winner of the 2010 APNA Agency of the Year contest. We were shocked and very happy to say the least. It made all of our efforts this past year seem more important than ever and encouraged us to continue to grow and find new ways to improve our agency.
We congratulate all the agencies for entering and showing great ideas that we can all learn from.
